When filming we tried to follow our planning documents exactly as we planned but sometimes it wasn't possible to do so. We thought we planned our music video very well so therefore we thought that if we stuck to it then out music video would look really good and not much would go wrong. We kept the same filming idea as we planned, we did this because we thought that we thought really hard about how to make it as interesting and entertaining as possible. We created story boards before the the actual shooting took place, this gave as an idea of how our music video would look. we made sure that the shots that were in our starboards were also in our actual music video exactly as we planned with the same shot type. although we tried our very best to stick to our storyboards sometimes it wasn't possible to do so due to resources.
The document that was are looking at while editing out music video is the rushes log, this is a table made up of information of the footage that we have shot, in this table is the following information;
- Shot type
- Description of footage
- Duration of footage
- Evaluation of footage, whether it was good or poor pieces of footage.
because of the rushes log, I could then choose how good my footage is and what types of shots I need for future filming to make the music video effective. Also, when assessing how applicable our footage was, I could learn from these mistakes and then make sure I did not repeat this.
