I have chosen to design my logo this way based on my target audience and the name of the product.
I have a young/middle aged target audience, appealing to both men and women, therefore, i chose to have use a neutral colour. The word 'Grid' reminds me of a box that is why i have put the logo in what looks to be a squished box. Additionally, i have used a font that also looks square, which matches the logo.
